An unforgettable experience

PRESENTATION

The “maloka” is the most important sacred meeting place of some indigenous communities. There is where they acquire wisdom from the universe thru the teachings of the elders or “raferaimas;” it is the setting for meetings, growth, and enrichment in the community.

From this perspective we take, particularly for our guests, the concept of “Make in the Maloka (home),” from the same notion created and developed by its proprietaries, as a life-project in the Colombian Amazon, in the tri-frontier of Colombia, Peru and Brazil. Francisco Javier, Ligia Paola and Juan Francisco planned and designed each one of the details thinking of the comfort and needs.

It gives personalized service of high quality, due to the schooling, ample experience in the service sector and local knowledge of its directors. They seek that the guests’ stay be pleasing, that they feel at home, and that they gain a minimal knowledge about the Amazon.

It offers comfortable and exclusive malokas, named in honor of some national parks and reserves in the country. With a technical design for the utilization of natural light and ventilation (air conditioners do not need to be used), built mainly with different types of local wood, the furniture and decorations worked with native materials by craftsman from Leticia, Tabatinga and Caballo Cocha, along with indigenous from Leticia, Puerto Nariño, river communities and the frontier zone.

It has open spaces, native fruit trees that attract and offer food for different species of birds, particularly in the early mornings and evenings, as well as ornamental plants that allow the enjoyment of the view, relaxation and well-being that contribute to your health.

Also available to its guests is a Amazonian documental center, with subjects for experts and non-experts in Amazonian Stories and Cultures, Plants, Animals, and Regional Development.
